Living in Albuquerque, you will enjoy all four seasons. You can experience beautiful views of the foothills and the mountains from many areas in town, great festivals and activities for every season, including the Balloon Fiesta! You can ride the Sandia Peak tram to 10,378’ elevation, and have a meal with an unbeatable view at the newly renovated High Finance Restaurant. Ski at Sandia Peak, or ski/snowboard up and down the east side of the mountain. The UNM/Nob Hill area is always hopping, and a thriving small theater community here…UNM’s Popejoy Hall gets great touring performers and Broadway plays.
Lots of music venues, and even more an hour away in Santa Fe. It has been said that Albuquerque has (per capita) the most restaurants to eat at than any other city in the US! Housing is affordable, as are property taxes.
There are so many outdoor opportunities for recreation, including a tremendous number of hiking and biking trails. If you travel, you’re never more than 20 minutes from the airport. We have abundant shopping, malls, boutiques, and a tuition lottery that helps students attend college.
